Every year, February is celebrated as Black History Month in the US but it’s also a time when people around the world get to learn about the contribution of people like Frederick Douglass,a powerful civil rights advocate of his era, and Carter G. Woodson, the scholar now known as the ‘father of Black history’. Apple, the global tech company, commemorates Black History Month with exclusive content and curated launches. And it’s not just restricted to the US.
Customers can show their support with this year’s Black Unity Collection, which includes as special-edition Apple Watch BlackUnity Sport Loop, alongside a new matching watch face and iPhone wallpaper. Beginning in February,all-new activations — including a series of Apple Maps Guidescreated by the Smithsonian, TV and film collections curated by JelaniCobb, and more will be available to explore.
