Now that the Met Office has declared that scorching conditions will continue till June 10, it is all the more important to keep yourself hydrated. While nothing quite does the job of water, a fruity concoction can also help lift your mood qhile quenching your thirst — even better if you can make these delish drinks in a jiffy, right? So, here are a few easy and quick juices that are lip smackingly good, a feast for the eyes (and the Instagram feed), and also help beat the heat.

Ingredients:

  • Jamun (Java plum or Indian blackberry): 250gm
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons
  • Black salt: To taste
  • Tal mishri (Palm sugar) powder: To taste
  • Water: 500ml

Recipe:

  • Wash the jamuns and deseed them
  • Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
  • You can strain and serve straight out of the blender. Best to serve chilled and with a few ice cubes, of course

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon cubes: 20-25 pieces
  • Soaked chia seeds: 3 tablespoons
  • Crushed mint leaves: 2 tablespoons
  • Black salt: To taste
  • Crushed ice cubes: 1 small cup
  • Kaffir lime leaves: 2
  • Lemon juice: 2-3 tablespoons
  • Water: 350ml

Recipe:

  • Deseed the watermelon cubes
  • Put watermelon cubes, black salt, crushed ice cubes, lemon juice and water in a blender and make the juice
  • Check taste and add sweetening agent only if required
  • Now pour it in a jug and add soaked chia seeds (use chia seeds only after they have soaked well and fluffed up), crushed mint leaves and kaffir lime leaves
  • Add a few more ice cubes and it’s sip-ready

  • Lychee: 200gm
  • Water: 350ml
  • Crushed ice cubes: 1 small cup
  • Rock salt: To taste
  • Tal mishri (Palm sugar) powder: to taste (Optional)

Recipe:

  • Deseed the lychees
  • Put all the ingredients except the ice cubes in a mixer and blend well
  • Once the juice is ready, add crushed ice cubes, give a quick blend, check taste and serve

Try this lemony delight that’s a refreshing take on our good ol’ nimbu paani.

Ingredients:

  • Juice of paati lebu (small round lemons): 1 medium cup
  • Juice of gondhoraj lebu: 1 small cup
  • Kaffir lime leaves: 2-3 pieces
  • Tal mishri (Palm sugar) powder: To taste
  • Rock salt: To taste
  • Mint leaves: 7-8 pieces
  • Malta orange slices: 5-6 pieces

Recipe:

  • In a blender, add lime juice, tal mishri powder, rock salt and make nimbu pani
  • Pour in a jug, add kaffir lime leaves, mint leaves and Malta orange slices
  • Refrigerate for minimum 30-minutes and serve chilled with a few ice cubes
