Kolkata-based landmark confectionery, Kookie Jar, was part of the culinary contingent on two days of the three-day illustrious Ambani pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
According to a wedding guest who “can spot a Kookie Jar treat from miles away”, guests were treated to a feast for the senses as an approximately 200-ft grazing table, beautifully decorated with flowers, featured sweet and savoury treats from Kookie Jar and French patisserie Laduree. There was KJ’s signature Aphonso Mango Flan, freshly baked pies, English pancakes and traditional cutlets. Check out this absolutely gorgeous grazing table!
On February 29, the guests were also treated to a delectable spread of creative world cuisine by Kookie Jar through interactive counters such as succulent grills on salt slabs and cooking on stone, molten cheese and wine, and creative pastas and risottos. For dessert, there was the iconic Kookie Jar gateaux, macaroon and berry cakes, warm chocolate desserts, along with their signature Warm Gooseberry Pie and homemade ice cream cakes. What went down particularly well was — no surprise — fresh catch from Kolkata… bekti fish and prawns. On March 1, the spread included 40 varieties of delicate bite-sized eats.

While Kookie Jar remained tight-lipped about their involvement, they expressed their best wishes to the couple on social media, stating, “Our heartfelt wishes to Anant and Radhika for a magical life together! It has been our absolute privilege to cater for this event!”
In the past, Kookie Jar has graced many a high-profile gathering with its culinary expertise and catered to a reasonable selection of the who’s who across the country. Among the publicly-known catered events by the 1985-established bakery brand is the grazing table they put together for the launch of designer Sabyasachi’s Mumbai store in 2023, and Virat Kohli’s 35th birthday cake.
In more recent times, they wowed 1,200 guests with a huge dessert table at an event at RCTC in January, where all the Kookie Jar classics were available in mini sizes.
Additionally, representing Kolkata at the pre-wedding celebrations’ after-party were Doma Wang and Sachiko Seth of The Blue Poppy, and chef Auroni Mookerjee of Sienna Cafe, who was spotted collaborating with chef Ritu Dalmia.
