Built in 1907, The Bhawanipur House is essentially a colonial bungalow restored in its classic glory and converted into a space for delectable dishes, drinks and conversations. Spread over an area of over 11,000 sq ft, the property spans over three levels that traverse the indoor as well as outdoor theme. A tea lounge, a bakery, dining rooms, open-air terrace and yard, live pizza kitchen and enclosed terrace seating are the key zones in the bungalow.

The entrance is a quaint yard with a fountain and pebbled walkway. The outer building is done up in shades of yellow and white, whereas the interiors have a running theme of black and white flooring in common places and distinct colour-themed rooms

The second level is the terrace that has white and gray Chinese mosaic flooring along with white furniture. It’s open air and also has an enclosure that can be used for private parties as well as screenings. The terrace also has the live pizza kitchen

The menu curated and designed by chef Sneha Singhi is an amalgamation of “salads, and sandwiches. Colonial era continental dishes, fusion mains as well as delish desserts.”

“We are essentially into mining and logistics and when we acquired this property around three years ago, we spent a great time debating what to do with it and now we’re so glad and equally nervous to step into the hospitality industry,” said brothers and co-founders Vishnu (right) and Vishal Sureka
