This is one tournament where people from different clubs got together to form a team. Consequently, we got to meet a lot of new people. Held last month, the second edition of CC&FC Tennis Premier League (CTPL) in association with t2 was a tournament marked by skilled strokeplay, intense competition, and above all, fine sporting spirit. Played on the clay courts of the club, the tournament was played by about 180 players belonging to the 10 franchise-based teams. The first round of league matches kicked off with two groups that consisted of five teams each. The subsequent rounds of matches were played between the top two teams from each group who competed against one another for a berth in the Gold Cup final. Teams securing the third and fourth spots competed for a place in the Silver Cup final. t2 enjoyed a front-row view of the final matches as the title contenders in each category battled it out in the tennis court to win the coveted trophies.
