Sabyasachi Chakrabarty hands over prizes to winners of Merlin Green Frames on March 18

Winners were declared in five categories and awarded prizes and hampers

The Merlin Group, for the first time, initiated the Merlin Green Frames, a Live Nature Photography Competition which was held at Ibiza the Fern Resort & Spa and Merlin Aquaville on March 11-12. Over 40 participants took part in the competition where they were mentored and judged by photographers Pubarun Basu and Bishakha Dutta. The final was held on March 18 at Ibiza where Sabyasachi Chakrabarty presided over as chief guest. Prizes were handed over to the winning participants

Sushil Mohta, chairman, Merlin Group was present at the occasion. He mentioned how this was a first-time awareness initiative by the group. He hoped that, “It can assume a shape of awareness campaign if such initiative is replicated by others.”

Actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty who is an avid wildlife enthusiast himself spoke about his journey in the field with Pubarun Basu

Actor – director Parambrata Chattopadhyay with director Arindam Sil were also present during the award ceremony

Suman Banerjee was declared the winner under the ‘Macro’ category for the competition

Arindam Santra won the first prize under the category ‘Life in Action’

The first prize for ‘Flora and Fauna’ was given to Abhisek Paul

The winner award for ‘Landscape-Co-existence of man and nature’ was received by Alize Suzuki

Pallav Roy Choudhury won under the category “Birds: Their habits and habitats” and was also declared the overall winner of Merlin Green Frames

A special host category was initiated as “Blend of nature & Architect - Host Award”. Raaqueen Majeed won first prize under this category
