Numerous sectors and fraternities gather at RMB CONNECT 2022

RMB CONNECT 2022 arranged numerous exhibitory kiosks put up by Calcutta entrepreneurs and these had garments, gift items, computers, financial services, interior designers, event planners, trainers and much more

RMB Kolkata Fellowship Group, a part of Rotary International District 3291, hosted RMB CONNECT 2022, in association with The Telegraph, at Haldiram Banquet, Ballygunge, recently. RMB CONNECT 2022 comprised numerous exhibitor kiosks put up by Calcuttaentrepreneurs and these had garments, gift items, computers, financial services, interior designers, event planners, trainers and so on.

The RMB Kolkata Most Trusted Business Category Awards 2022 were awarded to eminent entrepreneurs of Calcutta. L.S.Davar and Co, Star Cement, Rupa and Co, Siddha Group, CenturyPlyboards India, Limton, Mahabir Danwar Jewellers, Nivedan Food and Beverage, Dhanwantary Pharmacy, Indoriv Clinical, Shree Bahubali Stock Broking and JK Masale were the recipients of the prestigious award.

The RMB Kolkata Tele-Cine Awards 2022 were awarded to eminent actors and directors from Tollywood. ?????Divya Jyoti Dutta, Bhaswar Chatterjee, Rishi Kaushik and Rajiv Bose received awards in the Outstanding Actor category. Kanchana Moitra, EnaSaha, Deblina Dutta and AnweshaHazra received awards in the Outstanding Actress category. Paromita Munshi and Sudip Bhattacharjee received awards in the Director category.

RMB KOLKATA, in association with George Institute of Image Management, also hosted the beauty pageant Ms, Mrs & Mr RMBKolkata 2022. Rotarians,Rotaracters and students of George Institute of Image Management and general applicants participated in the event. The event was graced by people like Mallobika Banerjii; Indranil Dey, interior designer and managing director, Irony furniture and director of GIIM; Yogita Kichlu, designer and social activist; Sudarshan Chakravorty, dancer;groomer Payal Varma; beauty pageant winner Anukta Ghoshal, choreographer Rubena Chatterjee; actress Sayantani Guhathakurta, Dipali Ahalani and others.

There were more than 200 applicants and only 30 finalists were selected and groomed at HotelGallery 67 by Nicola Gomes. The contestants came from various backgrounds and various districts within the state and it was wonderful seeing them all come together and walking the ramp after two days of intense grooming.

The event was well curated and directed by Adolina Ganguly, director, GIIM, and choreographed by Nicola Gomes. The wardrobe partners for the event were Debasree’s, Shreya’s Fashion, Subhadip Mitra and DebjaniGanguly.

The second runner-up for the the‘Miss’ category was Ishanwita Nath, first runner-up was Rotaracter Sayantika Bera and the winner was Rotaracter Sreetama Basu. The second runner-up for the ‘Mrs’category was Annanya Dey, first runner-up was Alivia Pahari and the winner was Debdutta Narayan. The second runner-up for the ‘Mr’category was Siddharth Mandal, first runner-up was Rotarian Rohit RajGhosh and the winner was Rahul Agarwal.

The winners received gifts and awards from Irony Furniture, Vedamorph, label Sukanya, Debasree’s collection, cakes and jewellery from Style Addict. The winners will also be getting a luxurious drive in a BMW (organised by OSL Prestige, travel partner) to Kolkata Holiday Inn for dinner. They will also be getting a one-night stay at Hotel Sonar Bangla (resort partner).

“It was an initiative by RMB Kolkata to align the business community, fashion fraternity and Tollywood. It was an effort to promote entrepreneurship in Calcutta and the eastern part of India,” said Rotarian Kaushik Sen, president, RMB Kolkata Chapter.
