Mayor Firhad Hakim inaugurates a daylong pre-Diwali exhibition, Soil to Soul - Binding Bengal, organised by the Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC) in association with Emami Arts and FICCI FLO Kolkata chapter, at KCC Anandapur off the EM Bypass on Saturday. Fifteen NGOs and 25 artisans from all over Bengal displayed their magical handicraft in association with Ek Packet Umeed, FICCI FLO and Mritttika Earthy Talks Foundation

A brainchild of Ayush Sarda (Ek Packet Umeed), Soil to Soul, as the name suggests, connects artisans directly with consumers or lovers of Bengal Art. Ayush said: “Bengal handicrafts have always intrigued me be it potochitro, shola or pottery, and I feel they need to be given the respect and recognition. S2S is my tribute to them”
