They came from all around Kolkata and Hooghly, Singur, Barasat, Behala, Nagerbazar, Baguiati and more. 5/5 Sushil Mohta, chairman, Merlin Group, said the initiative on conservation of nature had received good response. ‘We hope to continue next year also at a time when a lot of migratory birds will be there.’ Participants submitted photographs in five categories — Landscape: Co-existence of man and nature, Macro: The minute beauty of nature, Birds: Their habits and habitat, Flora & Fauna, and Life in Action. Participants were mentored and judged by photographers Pubarun Basu and Bisakha Dutta
