1/5  Following the launch of his book, ‘Champ for Life’, a manual for young athletes to attain greatness in sport, at Tollygunge Club earlier this month, golf guru Indrajit Bhalotia held a book discussion at Starmark, South City Mall on January 12. Bhalotia was in conversation with Malini Sarkar, a psychologist and image consultant, and was also joined by tennis icon Jaidip Mukerjea.

Following the launch of his book, ‘Champ for Life’, a manual for young athletes to attain greatness in sport, at Tollygunge Club earlier this month, golf guru Indrajit Bhalotia held a book discussion at Starmark, South City Mall on January 12. 3/5 ‘Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard,’ said Bhalotia in reference to the tips for success outlined in ‘Champ for Life’. ‘If you want to get somewhere, no matter the sport, the extra effort you put in will always count. You have to test yourself to do more each day and try to achieve more than you set out to. Otherwise, even if you have talent, it won’t make a difference,’ added the author

5/5  In front of an audience packed with youngsters, many of whom wish to pursue sports as a career, Bhalotia also spoke about balancing studies and sports: ‘There are small sacrifices you must make. Studying is important and not something I would advise on giving up. But time management is essential in managing academics with sports and there’s a full chapter on that in my book.’
