Guru Nanak Institute of technology hosts quiz along with Bengal Chamber

Around 100 teams from various institutions took part

The quiz was held at the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology campus

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology under the JIS Group in association with the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a quiz for college and university students from across eastern India on March 18. The quiz was held at the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology campus. Auritro Chowdhury and Kinshuk Biswas, well- known quiz masters, conducted the event.

IIT Kharagpur students Subhayan Chakraborty and Mihir Srivastava emerged as winners while Animesh Jha and Ayush Sharma were declared first runners-up. Tarun Anand and Diyanshu Kumar from NIT Jamshedpur were announced second runners-up.

Sardar Simarpreet Singh, director, JIS Group commented on the occasion, “The Bengal Chamber's Technology Quiz – an inter college quiz fest was a grand success, and it achieved its aim of promoting quizzing as a healthy and competitive activity among the youth. We aim to continue such initiatives to encourage the youth to develop their skills and knowledge in different fields."

Around 100 teams participated in the quiz comprising almost 200 students from various colleges. Institutions like Assam University; Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra; National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and Jamshedpur; and more took part in the event. The objective of the quiz competition was to reignite the fire for quizzing among the youth and future leaders. It was an apt opportunity for students to portray their critical thinking, alert mindedness, intelligence, general knowledge and understanding of their surroundings.

Angana Guha Roy Chowdhury, assistant director general, The Bengal Chamber said, "This is a youth focused endeavour of The Bengal Chamber. Participation is exclusively for students to connect with each other on a knowledge driven platform.”
