In pictures: BCC&I annual night sees members rock the ramp

The highlight of the night was ‘Défilé de mode’, a ramp walk by the members, for the members of the BCC&I. The ramp walk was choreographed by Shubha Kenworthy, a celebrated fashion choreographer, who unleashed the inner fashionistas of the industry veterans. The costumes were designed by designers Amalin Datta and Kanaklata Datta of Sharbari’s Studio and Abhishek Ray of A Square Creation

The event began with a soulful musical session by singers Tathagata Sengupta, Shreejata Kar and Chiranjib Nath from Picasso Events. The singers also performed live Bollywood classics for the ramp walk

Basu said, ‘This is the second time we are walking the runway organized by The Bengal Chamber on the Annual Night. Shubha Kenworthy, who has been choreographing the annual night walk for a few years now said, ‘It is so much fun every time to do this. It is definitely very different from working with professional models. The members are always very excited and some are nervous. But once they walk the ramp, the joy they show is so heartwarming!’

Speaking about the event, Gautam Ray, BCC&I president, said, ‘The Bengal Chamber has embarked on this initiative of promoting ethnic fashion by encouraging leaders of the industry to showcase the same by way of walking the runway’
