Rituparna Sengupta felicitated her mother Nandita Sengupta in the presence of Chandrodoy Ghosh, Mamata Shankar, her daughter Rishona and Sreela Majumder. "Mother means the supreme form of unconditional love in a child's life. We don't get to see God but feel that divine strength and protection through our mothers. In our life, mothers stand for the supreme form of strength that exists in this world. That is why, we have decided to organise this event, and will continue doing it every year during this time of the year, when we celebrate Maa Durga's arrival on Earth," said Rituparna.

Amar Maa Amar Durga, organised by Rituparna Sengupta and her organisation Bhabna Aaj O Kaal, along with her friend and colleague Debjani Laha Ghosh, felicitated a bunch of mothers of some popular faces, last month, at Eastern Metropolitan Club. The event was organised around the time of the Durga Puja celebration in Calcutta to celebrate the supreme strength that mothers symbolise and to honour the role that they play in a child’s life. The event was conceptualised based on the idea ‘my mother is my Durga — the shakti that empowers us’. Personalities from various walks of life attended the event and had the overwhelming opportunity to felicitate their mothers. Glimpses:
