1/5 The theme of the puja conducted by Jodhpur Park Saradiya Utsab Committee this year is ‘Punorjonmo’ (Rebirth). Elucidating on the theme, club general secretary Sumanta Ray said: ‘The idea of the theme is to raise awareness about eye donation. Encourage people to donate eyes to give the gift of sight to the blind. Through abstract painting, the pandal will have different eyes drawn as props. The eyes of the idol are given focus to make it look more artistic. The process of eye donation will also be illustrated in the pandal through paintings and props’

5/5 The theme for Dum Dum Bharat Chakra Club this year is ‘Bhranti’ (fallacy). The theme portrays an illusion of human beings. ‘The pandal and props show how we all are puppets in the hands of the almighty. Puppets and paintings will tell traditional legends,’ said Manoj Chakraborty, club joint secretary. ‘We are working with illusions this time. We, as humans love to take credit of everything we do but things happen according to the will of the almighty. So we will have paintings narrating legendary stories of the human evolution that will portray the Supreme Power’s intervention’
