JSCA secretary Sanjay Singh said the match would be conducted amid strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols prescribed by state government as well as the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI).

Only fully vaccinated persons or those who test negative for Covid using an RTPCR test on or after November 15 will be allowed entry.

“All persons will have to compulsorily exhibit their vaccination or Covid test certificates at entry gates. This apart, no one will be allowed to carry anything like water bottles, bags, cameras, etc into the stadium, except those who are authorized to do so,” he said, adding that seating will be based strictly on ticket numbers.

JSCA is hoping to begin sale of tickets from November 15. “We have proposed three days from November 15. We have sent a proposal to the district administration. A formal announcement will be made after we hear from the district administration,” he said.

Passes for JSCA members will be distributed on November 14 and 15.

The state government has allowed use of only 50 per cent of the seating capacity (40,000) of the JSCA stadium.

Ranchi is hosting one of the three T20 matches between India and New Zealand. While Jaipur will host the first T20 on November 17, Kolkata will hold it on November 21. Two Test matches will also be played in Kanpur and Mumbai between November 25-29 and December 3-7, respectively.

Former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s home town will be hosting an international T20 tie after a gap of four years. The last tie hosted at the JSCA stadium was between India and Australia on October 7, 2017.India had beaten Australia by nine wickets in that rain-curtailed match of the three-match series.

Since its debut in 2013, JSCA stadium has so far conducted 2 Test matches, 5 ODIs and 2 T20Is besides a few IPL matches.
