Jamshedpur FC concluded the Hero Indian Super League 2021-22 season with the title of being ‘Champions of India’ by finishing top of the league and winning the League Winners’ Shield in a record-breaking campaign. This marked the club’s first piece of silverware since its inception in 2017.

With the SAFF U18 Women’s Championship concluding on Friday, Jamshedpur FC will be hosting an Exhibition of the League Winners’ Shield at the JRD Tata Sports on March 26 and 27 from 10 am to 4 pm. Along with the Shield, the club will also be displaying the Hero of the League award won by Scottish forward Greg Stewart. \

This exhibition will be open to all supporters of Jamshedpur FC. The fans will be allowed to click photos with the coveted trophies and get the feeling of being ‘Champions of India’. The entry and exit points for the fans would be from Gate no. 8 of JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Jamshedpur FC CEO, Mukul Choudhari told reporters on Friday evening that Jharkhand, the state, Jamshedpur, the city, their people, the team, are all collectively Champions of India and the League Winners’ Shield undoubtedly belongs to all.

"The squad had a memorable and record-breaking season and of course celebrated and lifted the Shield back in Goa. And we wish the fans to experience the same feeling as well, the feeling of being a Champion. That is why we are hosting this exhibition, to give a chance to everyone to replicate that same experience, as we all were part of this historic journey together.”

Sources within the Janshedpur FC revealed that the club had plans to ferry the players to the steel city after the second leg semi-final on March 15. "Mood of the players, including the foreigners, was upbeat even though Owen Coyle's men lost the first leg semi-final to Kerala Blasters FC 0-1 on March 11. The squad was very excited to travel to Jamshedpur after the first leg semis as the players were confident of putting it across Kerala in the second leg semis. But after another loss to Kerala (1-2), the players lost all interest in coming to Jamshedpur. They left for the respective destinations the next day (April 16). We had also booked a bus to ferry the players from Calcutta to Jamshedpur.," one of the sources said on condition of anonymity.
