Three die after consuming 'hooch' in Saran district

At least three people were killed while several others were battling for their lives in a hooch case in Saran district of dry Bihar that surfaced on Monday.

The family members of the deceased asserted that they had come home drunk and died of nausea, stomach ache and breathlessness.

Around 98 persons have lost their lives in suspected hooch incidents in the state this year. The toll stands at 208 since January 2021. The state implemented prohibition in April 2016.
