Satya Pal Malik, the governor of Jammu and Kashmir, has been transferred to Goa, a communiqué from the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
Girish Chandra Murmu will take over as lieutenant-governor of the new Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the communiqué said. Radha Krishna Mathur will be sworn in as Ladakh’s lieutenant-governor.
Mizoram will have P.S. Sreedharan Pillai as its new governor.
