Mob lynches two persons in Bihar after killing of former army jawan in Rohtas

Incident of vigilante justice unfolded at Kalyani village under Suryapura police station area when Vijendra Singh had gone to inspect his under-construction house

A mob lynched two persons and left another battling for his life after they allegedly shot dead a former army jawan in Rohtas district of Bihar on Wednesday.

The lynching happened at Kalyani village under Suryapura police station's jurisdiction when former jawan Vijendra Singh had gone to inspect his under-construction house.

Three persons arrived on a motorbike when Singh came out of the structure around 9.30am and shot him dead on the spot.

Local residents heard the sound of the firing and rushed to the spot. The shooters panicked after seeing the people coming and started running away.

The mob swelled and kept chasing them. A bullet fired by the assailants grazed the leg of a villager.

The chase continued for around 4km and the three shooters were trapped in the lanes of another village Goshal Dih, where they were kicked and beaten with fists, sticks and bricks, said police sources.
