Police have arrested a dozen people in Kashmir’s Sopore town on the charge of defying the coronavirus-triggered lockdown to participate in the funeral of a militant, angering residents.
Hundreds of people had participated in the funeral of Jaish-e-Mohammad insurgent Sajjad Nawaz Dar, 23, in Sopore, 50km from Srinagar, on Wednesday evening, ignoring social-distancing norms.
