Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Ramesh Sinha, conducted a surprise inspection of the Bemetara District Court after hearing High Court cases. He meticulously inspected all courtrooms, vehicle parking, cleanliness, washrooms, and arrangements for advocates and parties. Necessary directions were given for improvements in the facilities.

During the inspection, water leaks were found in the walls and roof of several areas of the old court building, including the library and record room. The Chief Justice expressed displeasure over water leakage in the advocate's room. The District and Sessions Judge Brijendra Kumar Shastri, Collector Padum Singh Alma, SP Bhavna Gupta, SDM Suruchi Singh, and officials from the Public Works Department were present during the inspection and received necessary instructions for improvements.

Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha held a meeting with judicial officers to discuss pending cases, dating back 5 to 10 years, and issued directives to give priority to disposing of old cases, especially those under Section 156(3) of the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure) and Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. During the surprise inspection, he also interacted with advocates, addressing their concerns. The Registrar General, Arvind Kumar Verma, and the Additional Registrar cum PPS, MVLN Subrahmanyam, accompanied him during the inspection.
