The NewsX-Jan Ki Baat poll has given the BJP 117 to 140 seats, the Congress 34 to 51 and the AAP 6 to 13.

The current polls are the first three-cornered contest in the state since 1990. In the previous election, the BJP had won 99 seats. Most exit polls had overestimated the party’s tally last time.

Himachal has alternated between the BJP and the Congress since 1985. Most exit polls accurately predicted a BJP victory last time.

Urban seats in both states saw a drop in turnout, as did Delhi which had municipal polls on Sunday, with exit polls forecasting an AAP victory.

A moderate voter turnout of 60.94 per cent was recorded in the second and final phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections on Monday, a sharp drop from the 70 per cent polled in 2017.

The first phase of elections on December 1 had covered 89 Assembly seats and recorded 63.31 per cent polling.
