Delhi High Court reserved its verdict on a petition by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. The AAP national convener, who arrested by the ED on March 21, questioned the 'timing' of his arrest and said it was in contravention of the basic structure of the Constitution, including free and fair elections and level playing field.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched the party's 'Ghar Ghar Guarantee' initiative here under which it aims to reach out to eight crore households across the country and make them aware of its 'guarantees'. "We are distributing this guarantee card to take our 'Panch Nyay Pachees Guarantee' to people. We want to take this initiative to eight crore households across the country," Kharge said while launching the initiative.

Taiwan's biggest earthquake in at least 25 years killed seven people, injuring more than 700, with 77 trapped in tunnels and collapsed buildings, authorities said, as rescuers used ladders to help some people descend to safety. "It was very strong.
