Zee Bangla Cinema rolls out new shows connected to classic songs and humour

This achievement comes as a testimony to the channel’s continuous commitment to delivering excellent entertainment and resonating with crores of viewers across Bengal

Zee Bangla Cinema recently launched new shows, their sonic logo and their first-ever brand song. Actor Gaurav Chakrabarty and singer Aditi Munshi were present on the occasion as the channel celebrated their viewership of three crore and unveiled future plans. This achievement comes as a testimony to the channel’s continuous commitment to delivering excellent entertainment and resonating with crores of viewers across Bengal. To mark this momentous occasion, Zee Bangla Cinema has also unveiled a series of exciting new initiatives that are set to redefine Bengali entertainment. While Gaurav launched his upcoming show Song Connection, Aditi expressed her gratitude as her show Shokaler Shure crosses 250 episodes.

“We, at Zee Bangla Cinema, are very happy to achieve this significant milestone of surpassing three crore viewership and becoming the No.1 Bangla movie channel. This success itself is the firm evidence of our viewers’ loyalty and our commitment to delivering exceptional content,” said Samrat Ghosh, chief cluster officer, East cluster, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises.

“The launch of our new initiatives reflects our dedication to continuous innovation and providing Zee Bangla Cinema’s audience with engaging and enriching entertainment experiences. The way we relate Korbo lorbo jeetbo re with Kolkata Knight Riders, we want our audience to relate Zee Bangla Cinema to the new brand song Hok na ektu magic just like that. We started producing original content for our viewers through Zee Bangla Cinema Originals way before OTT was trending,” said Jalaluddin Mondal, chief channel officer of Zee Bangla Cinema and marketing head, East cluster, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises.

Tang Mat Karo

Tang Mat Karo is a conglomeration of the funniest clips from some of the most celebrated comedians and actors known to Bengali cinema. The makers will put together hilarious clips to present a 30-minute show full of laughter. The show is slated to air at 11am on the channel every day. Some of the popular names whose clips will be seen in Tang Mat Karo include Bhanu, Johor, Tulshi Chakraborty, Utpal Dutta, Santosh Dutta, Tarun Kumar and Saswata Chatterjee.

Song Connection

Hosted by the charming and articulate Gaurav Chakrabarty, Song Connection is set to be a musical affair of familiarising music aficionados with unknown stories and interesting facts behind iconic songs and musicians. Each trivia will be accompanied by a modern rendition of the same song as well. Some of the legendary personalities whose unexplored stories will be shared by Gaurav include Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, Manna Dey, Soumitra Chatterjee and Uttam Kumar. “I am very excited about this particular show because somehow I have always been interested in trivia and behind-the-scenes stories when it comes to cinema or music. It will be my job to share such stories with the audience. So I am hoping and praying that Song Connection on Zee Bangla Cinema will be a resounding success. Somewhere it becomes something that has always been a part of me. Since I have always been a trivia collector, even when I sit with friends, I end up sharing various stories of old films. My love for music and storytelling will come together through this show and I hope the audience loves it,” said Gaurav.

Zee Bangla Cinema Originals 2.0

The audience loved Zee Bangla Cinema Originals. Consequently, the channel has now announced the successor of the much-loved genre with Zee Bangla Cinema Originals 2.0. Authentic and exclusive Bengali content will be made again by the channel.
