Ayushmann Khurrana

The versatile and adroit Ayushmann Khurrana has gifted us some noteworthy off the-track movies and impelled the audience to shift their perspectives. I would like to see him as an antagonist, a role that will require a lot of action sequences including chase sequence with tough cops. Though he has done An Action Hero recently, it would be intriguing to see him play such a character. He gets into the skin of his characters and does loads of homework. After Andhadhun, he mentioned in one of his interviews in t2 that he would do all the chores at home blindfolded. So it’ll be interesting to see him as a villain and a rugged look will be the cherry on the cake. (What kind of films do you want to see Ayushmann in... August 25) Tanima Kundu

Ayushmann Khurrana is already famous for choosing films with quirky and out-of-the-box content. Be it sperm donation, pregnancy in middle age, gender stereotypes, gay relationships, appearance complex or Dalit atrocities, each of his movies has been a reflection of relevant social issues that need proper understanding and immediate response. Now I want to see him in films that deal with mental health issues and the vicious cycle of corruption. The rapid deterioration of mental health among youngsters is one of the gravest concerns and is often ignored by adults. It will be extraordinary if any of his upcoming movies portray a scenario where mentally unstable or socially awkward people are ostracised as ‘mad’. Secondly, corruption has been an ingrained problem in the nation as well as the society.

If a courtroom drama is to be made on this topic, I really want to see him in the shoes of a badass lawyer who fights against corrupt higher-ups. Courtroom drama is one of my favourite genres and with Ayushmann playing a justice seeker, it will be an enjoyable watch. Sikrity Ghosh

Ayushmann Khurrana is the man with the Midas touch. He scores high with his ability to portray a vast range of roles with depth and passion and has been conferred a National Award as well. His filmography is diverse and impactful and it would be thrilling if he stars in a sports drama. He possesses the grit and determination essential for a sports film, adding a new dimension to his sparkling career. At this hour, Bollywood needs a fresh sports drama just like Chak De! India and 83 which would cater to every cinema aficionado’s interests. Aayman Anwar Ali

Ayushmann is an actor who amazes us every time with his versatile acting. His way of playing a role makes it seem that he is living the character. Most of his movies convey social messages. Till now, we have seen Ayushmann play different roles with different shades but they did not have any out-andout negative shade. So for a change, it will be really exciting to watch if Ayushmann goes for a character with absolute negative shades! As his appearance and personality are just opposite to it, it will be challenging for him too. He has nothing to prove, but a good actor always loves to take up new challenges. So, I will be happy to watch him in a negative role.

As most of his films have dealt with social or real-life problems, it would also be great if we could watch him in a fantasy film. Puhabi Das

Ayushmann Khurrana is a versatile artiste and there is hardly any kind of character left to be played by him. He has created a different benchmark altogether. Ayushmann not only acts well but also makes very conscious decisions in his choice of roles. It would be interesting to see him in an action film, as that is one area left unexplored by the brilliant actor. Along with this, he may try his hand at detective films. He might even look good as a historical character. So I feel that he should step aside from social issues and real-life incidents as subjects for his movies for a while and focus instead on fictional narratives. Adrita Roy

I would love to see Ayushmann Khurrana as a romantic hero in a purely romantic drama film. The movie should have excellent music and dance sequences featuring Khurrana. I can also imagine him as a cool, intelligent detective in a detective movie series. His acting is so vibrant that it would be great to see how he creates magic and suspense at the theatres with his superb skills. Sarbani Banerjee

Ayushmann has already mesmerised Bolly buffs by brilliantly essaying a wide range of characters in his movies and delivering outstanding performances while portraying those roles. I want to see Ayushmann in more romantic comedies that are connected to social causes and hope that he continues to entertain movie lovers with more such socially relevant films. Sourish Misra
