Will Smith’s cryptic video in reaction to Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir leaves fans guessing

Hollywood star Will Smith has shared a cryptic video in response to wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir Worthy, which revealed some details about the couple’s fraught relationship.

The 55-year-old actor took to Instagram to post the short video with the caption “OFFICIAL STATEMENT”. In the video, the Emancipation actor can be seen sitting in front of a fireplace at home. Looking straight at the camera, Will says, “I got something for you. So, here’s the thing. My opinion of the…” Without saying anything else he sneezes and the video zooms out of his house. The video keeps zooming out, showing a waterfall and then a beach.

The video has left fans guessing the message that the actor wanted to put forth about the memoir.

Jada and Will have been married since 1997. Their separation since 2016 came to light after Jada opened up about their marriage in her book. She wrote that the couple had reached a “chronic state of discontent” and had “irreconcilable differences” due to which they decided to go their separate ways.

She wrote that the couple did not go through a divorce due to the promise she had made to Will to never get divorced. The two have not stayed in the same house in over two years. However, talking to Today the actress said the two are trying to reconcile.

In Worthy, Jada mentioned the 2022 Academy Awards slapgate incident in which Will slapped comedian Chris Rock over a joke about Jada. From her struggles with mental health that led her to contemplate suicide back in 2012 to Will being scared of ghosts, Jada tells it all in her memoir.
