Ed Sheeran tucked into butter chicken, engaged with fans, enjoyed a cricket session with Team India batter Shubman Gill and set the stage on fire alongside singers Diljit Dosanjh and Armaan Malik during his latest India tour, shows a round-up video dropped by the Grammy-winning British singer on Instagram on Thursday.

Set to a Bhangra remix of Sheeran's 2017 smash hit Shape of You, the video begins with the singer expressing his love for India. Next, we see him rehearsing with Dosanjh and Malik prior to his March 16 concert at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course.

“Everything that I’ve come across in India has all to do with the heart,” says the 33-year-old singer in the video that unveils moments from his latest concert in Mumbai. “I knew this was going to be amazing but I did not know it was going to be this amazing,” he signed off with the wish to come back to the country.

The viral reel of him performing the iconic arms-stretch-out pose with actor Shah Rukh Khan is also part of the montage. The Perfect singer is seen discussing cricket with actor-presenter Gaurav Kapoor. Following Sheeran’s interaction with students at a Mumbai school and his lively cricket session with Gill, the video shows him enjoying butter chicken to his heart’s content.

Dressed in a black t-shirt and black denims, Sheeran opened the show on March 16 with his 2021 track Tides. Midway through the two-hour long concert, the singer-songwriter changed into a deep blue kurta with Mumbai embroidered in Hindi. He performed no less than 30 songs at the concert, including hits like Perfect (2017), Shape of You (2017), Afterglow (2021) and Bad Habits (2021). A video shared by Dosanjh on social media also showed Sheeran singing in Punjabi for the first time.

Sheeran’s latest concert marked his third performance in India after his x Tour in 2015 and his Divide Tour at Mumbai’s Jio Gardens in 2017. This third concert was a part of his ongoing ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’, also known as The Mathematics Tour, which began on April 23, 2022, in Ireland’s Dublin and is scheduled to conclude on September 8 in Larnaca, Cyprus.
