Rosamund Pike’s Moiraine Damodred is on a mission to prevent Josha Stradowski’s Rand al’Thor — The Dragon Reborn — from establishing connections with evil forces in the recently dropped Season 2 trailer of Prime Video’s epic fantasy series The Wheel Of Time.
Unveiled by the streamer on Wednesday late night, the two-minute-26-second-long trailer shows Rand al’Thor processing the news that he is The Dragon Reborn, a powerful and dangerous mythical figure destined to either break the world or save it. On the other hand, Aes Sedai Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) swears that she will dedicate her life to protecting him.
Egwene and Nynaeve return to Tar Valon to begin their training as Aes Sedai — an all-female group with magical abilities. In addition, the trailer introduces villainous Seanchans who wish to rule the globe.

Developed by Rafe Judkins, the series is based on the novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson. The second season is based on the second novel The Great Hunt, as well as some elements of the third novel, The Dragon Reborn.
The series also features Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney and Alvaro Morte among others.
The Wheel of Time Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 1.
