Tamannaah Bhatia is dating her Lust Stories 2 co-star Vijay Varma, the actress has confirmed in a recent interview, calling the 37-year-old Hyderabad-born actor her “happy place”.

“He's (Varma) someone I really look up to and he's someone with whom I bonded very organically,” Tamannaah said in an interview with entertainment portal Film Companion.

“I have created a world for myself and here there's a person who actually understood that world without me doing anything. He's a person who I care about deeply and he's my happy place,” the 33-year-old added, confirming that the two got close to each other while shooting for the Netflix anthology Lust Stories 2.

“I'm a really simple person and I think I'm very attracted to someone who's very simple and he's brilliant at what he does. I think it's friendship that is such a crucial part of an equation. Essentially I think just that someone you can laugh with,” said Tamannaah, throwing light on how she and Varma clicked and were simply drawn to each other.

“His journey as an actor for me is literally like something that I hope someday is celebrated and really spoken about because I think his journey is incredible. He's finally getting the, you know, the accolades he deserves,” the Baahubali actress added.

Vijay Varma has received critical acclaim for several films including his role as Hamza in the Alia Bhatt-Shefali Shah starrer Darlings and more recently his role as Anand Swarnakar in the Amazon Prime thriller series Dahaad.

Varma and Tamannaah will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in Lust Stories 2. The four-part anthology is set to premiere on Netflix on June 29.
