SVF Music has launched a new indie band named Paridhi in its endeavour to rejuvenate the essence of Bengali band culture. Paridhi comprises five talented individuals hailing from Kolkata — vocalist Sutirtha, guitarist Rick, bassist Sumit, drummer Achin, and multi-instrumentalist Souptik, who also plays violin, keyboard, and various folk instruments.

The debut offering from Paridhi, titled Kyano, is a laid-back track poised to evoke nostalgia and leave a lasting impression on listeners. Accompanying the release is a captivating music video that delves into the band's journey as they navigate the streets of the city, striving to carve out their unique identity amidst challenges.

Paridhi's members bring a diverse range of influences to the table, with some drawing inspiration from the enduring essence of classic rock, while others find their muse in the vibrant traditions of Bangla folk music. This inclusive approach ensures that their songs authentically reflect their artistic vision, promising a refreshing addition to the Bengali music landscape.

In a statement, team Paridhi expressed gratitude for the platform provided by SVF Music and excitement about the release of Kyano. “We are immensely grateful for the platform SVF Music has offered us,” the band said. “We are confident that Kyano will not only elucidate many aspects of our identity and musical style but also serve as a definitive manifesto for Bangla Independent music,” they added.

“We are unveiling something truly unprecedented, and we are confident it will be embraced enthusiastically, akin to a revitalising gust of wind,” members of Paridhi signed off.
