Veteran actor Steve Martin and comedian Martin Short’s upcoming shows at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas have been postponed to mid-December owing to “rampant Covid” cases among crew members, the former announced on Thursday.

“Unfortunately, our sold-out shows at the Wynn in Las Vegas this Friday and Saturday have to be postponed because of rampant Covid in our crew and one other essential guy,” the 78-year-old actor wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Extending his apologies to fans for the abrupt cancellation of the shows, Steve wrote, “We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we are moving to mid-December.”

The postponed performance, titled You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today, also featured music director Jeff Babko and the American bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers. The shows have been shifted to December 15 and 16.

Steve is currently starring in the popular Hulu series Only Murders in the Building alongside Martin Short and Selena Gomez. The Emmy-winning actor is best known for his roles in Roxanne (1987), Pink Panther (2006), and LA Story (1991).
