Shilpa Shetty to make her comeback in Kannada cinema after 18 years with Dhruva Sarja’s KD- The Devil

The actress will soon make her OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s Prime Video series Indian Police Force, headlined by Sidharth Malhotra

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is set to make her comeback in Kannada cinema after a gap of almost 18 years with Prem’s KD- The Devil alongside Dhruva Sarja.

The Baazigar actress took to Instagram to share the news and posted her character poster in the upcoming film. “🌼Ugadi subhakankshalu🌼 🌼Gudi Padwyachya hardik shubheccha🌼 On this auspicious day of NEW beginnings, I’m thrilled to share with you a NEW character entering the war in #KD's battlefield as #𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢!⚔️🛡️,” she said.

In the poster, the 47-year-old actress is seen in a white saree with red polka dots with retro shades. She is standing in front of a black ambassador car with a leopard print handbag in her hands.

The Karnataka-born actress did her last Kannada-language film — Auto Shankar — in 2005. She was seen opposite Upendra in that action comedy movie.

Shilpa made her film debut with Abbas-Mustan’s 1993 thriller Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She went on to star in several notable Bollywood films over the years such as Aag (1994), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Dhadkan (2000), Phir Milenge (2004) and Life in a Metro (2007).

In 2021, Shilps made her comeback to films after 14 years, with Priyadarshan’s comedy film Hungama 2. She was last seen in Nikamma alongside Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.

Apart from KD - The Devil, the actress will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Prime Video series Indian Police Force headlined by Sidharth Malhotra. It will also mark her OTT debut.
