Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan has earned Rs 529.89 crore nett at the domestic box office, emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India, figures with Box Office India highlighted on Saturday.

The Siddharth Anand-directed spy thriller, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has crossed the lifetime collection of the Hindi version of Prabhas-starrer Baahubali: The Conclusion, which so far held the top spot in terms of collection by a Hindi film in India.

The S.S. Rajamouli-directed 2017 epic drama Baahubali: The Conclusion’s (Hindi version) lifetime collection stands at Rs 510 crore.

Siddharth took to Twitter to share this historic achievement with fans on Friday.

Pathaan managed to collect Rs 1.2 crore nett on Friday, 38 days after its release on January 25, as per Box Office India.

Pathaan has performed extremely well in the overseas market too. According to the producers Yash Raj Films, the film has earned Rs 1,026 crore gross worldwide, with Rs 386 crore from overseas and Rs 640 crore gross from the domestic market.

Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan was also ecstatic about the film’s success at the box office. “Record breaking streak… #Pathaan 🔥,” she tweeted.

Despite a slew of new releases — Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada and Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee — in February, Pathaan managed to stay afloat at the box office. It remains to be seen whether the spy thriller continues to maintain its hold after Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s romantic-comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar releases in the theaters on Holi (March 8).
