Selena Gomez recently turned into a picture-perfect bride as she filmed scenes of the third season of Only Murders in the Building in New York City.
The singer-actress, who plays Mabel Mora in the mystery comedy drama show, looked stunning in a princess ball gown wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline, white gloves and a classic veil. Sharing her look in the wedding gown on Instagram on Tuesday, Gomez also showed off her white boots that she had worn underneath the wedding dress. “I have no caption. Just a regular day at work,” Selena wrote alongside the fun set of photos.
Steve Martin and Martin Short, both co-stars of Gomez on the show, also posted photos with the actress. The behind-the-scenes photos fuelled speculations about the plot of Only Murders in the Building’s upcoming season, which will likely fill in the gaps from the time jump in the Season 2 finale that ended with Paul Rudd's character, Ben Glenroy, dying on the stage after being poisoned.
Steve Martin’s latest picture with Gomez from the show is reminiscent of Martin’s 1991 film Father of the Bride, where the 77-year-old actor played George Banks whose daughter, Annie (Kimberly Williams Paisley), reveals her engagement after returning home from studying abroad. The movie follows George’s adjustment and collaboration with an over-the-top wedding consultant, played by Martin's Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short.
Gomez, Martin and Short will be reprising their roles as Mabel Mora, Oliver Putnam and Charles-Haden Savage, respectively, in the upcoming season of Only Murders in the Building. The cast will be joined by Meryl Streep along with Grey's Anatomy alum Jesse Williams. The release date of the third season of Only Murders in the Building hasn't been revealed yet. The first two seasons are currently available to stream on Disney+Hotstar in India.
