Accompanied by her daughter Rasha Thadani, Raveena attended the event in a simple white salwar suit. Friends and family surrounded the Tandon family as they unveiled the ornate plaque that acknowledged Ravi as “a gentleman and a visionary filmmaker”.

Soon after the unveiling of Ravi Tandon Chowk, the Karmma Calling actress shared a set of photos and videos from the event, celebrating the birthday of her late father.

Raveena also shared a montage video from the event along with a shloka from the Bhagavad Geeta in the caption. “Happy Birthday Pops! You live on! 17-2-24. You are missed every day,” she wrote in the caption.

In the filmmaker’s honour, tricycles were also donated among the physically handicapped at the event.

Ravi, who mostly worked between the 1970s and 1980s, is known for directing films like Khel Khel Mein (1975) and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu (1986). He passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 86.

Making her OTT debut in the Netflix series Aranyak (2021), Raveena recently played the role of a former actress-turned-socialite in the Disney+ Hotstar drama thriller series Karmma Calling. She is set to co-star Sanjay Dutt in the romantic-comedy Ghudchadi and feature in the Akshay Kumar-led Welcome to the Jungle of the Welcome franchise.
