Prince Harry and his actress wife Meghan Markle are set to produce two new non-fiction shows focusing on lifestyle and the world of professional polo under their production banner Archewell Productions as part of their multiyear deal with Netflix, the streaming service said in a statement on Thursday.

The first series will celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship. It will be directed by Michael Steed, known for the American television talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. Markle will curate the series and also serve as the executive producer.

The second series will offer unprecedented access to the world of professional polo, shot primarily at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. It will unveil several aspects of the sport, known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, capturing the full story of what it takes to compete at its highest level. The show will be produced by Boardwalk Pictures, with Prince Harry and Meghan serving as its executive producers alongside Chanel Pysnik, Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma, Dane Lillegard, Miloš Balać and Ian Samplin.

Both shows are in early stages of production, and their titles and release dates will be announced in the coming months, stated Netflix in a recent press communique.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched their own production company Archewell Productions in 2020, signing a multiyear deal with Netflix for scripted series, docuseries, documentaries, features and children’s programming.

The new shows will follow other projects from the couple, including the 2022 documentary Harry & Meghan, which explored the span of their relationship, from the early days of the royal couple’s courtship to the challenges and controversies that led them to step back from their full-time roles in the British royal family.
