Actor Prabhas shared his Salaar co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran’s rugged look from the latter’s upcoming Malayalamfilm The Goat Life on Wednesday.

“Thrilled to unveil the first-look poster of Prithviraj Sir’s #TheGoatLife - a journey of the indomitable human spirit! Embark on this extraordinary survival adventure starting April 10th, 2024,” posted Prabhas on his Instagram story alongside the poster.

The newly released poster features Prithviraj in a completely new avatar as an abused Malayali migrant goatherd. Wrapping himself in a brown blanket, the actor looks straight into the lens with darting eyes, matted beard and scars all over his face. It seems he has lost a significant amount of weight for the role. “Every breath is a battle” is written across the poster.

Soon after Prabhas posted the story, Prithviraj took to Instagram to thank the Baahubali actor. “Thank you my #Salaar,” the 41-year-old actor wrote on his Instagram story.

“The tale of hope & survival waiting to be told! Experience the ultimate adventure on 10.04.2024,” Prithviraj wrote alongside the posters in English, Hindi, Malayali, Telugu and Tamil languages.

Hombale Films, the production house of Prithviraj’s 2023 film Salaar, also shared the poster on their Instagram story. “Wishing our @therealprithvi and the #TheGoatLife team all the best for this tale of hope and survival.” About the poster, the company mentioned, “The first look looks intriguing, and we eagerly anticipate the captivating cinematic journey to unfold,” they wrote.

Touted as “the greatest survival adventure ever”, The Goat Life is based on Indian author Benyamin’s 2008 novel Goat Days. It follows the story of a Malayali immigrant forced to work as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia.

Also starring Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Talib al Balushi, Gokul and Rik Aby, the survival adventure drama is produced by K.C. Eapen and S. Prabhakar under the banner of Visual Romance. Its music has been composed by A.R. Rahaman. Helmed by Thanmathra director Blessy, The Goat Life is slated to release in theatres worldwide on April 10.
