Actors Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi are set to star in Manish Malhotra’s third production venture Ul Jalool Ishq, the 57-year-old celebrity designer announced on Tuesday, sharing pictures of the cast and crew on Instagram.
“Bewakoofiyan, Nadan galtiyan, badi bhool hai ishq. Sach Poochiye toh mere huzoor ul jalool hai ishq. I am so happy to announce our @stage5production 3rd film production (Love is in being silly and making innocent mistakes; love itself is a blunder. If I am to be honest Sir, Love is stupid),” wrote Manish alongside the carousel, revealing that the film is essentially a love story.
Penned and helmed by Vibhu Puri Dehalvi, the film will be produced by Manish’s Stage5 Production. The shooting is slated to begin on January 9.
The music for Ul Jalool Ishq has been composed by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj, Manish added in his post, thanking his brother, Dinesh Malhotra, for co-producing the film with him.
Fans welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm and excitement. “Great news and start to a wonderful new year,” commented a social media user while another wrote, “I am just blown away by the fabulous cast...Eagerly waiting for this film to come...all the best magicians keep mesmerise us.”
In September 2023, Malhotra announced the launching of his own production banner, Stage5 Production, on Instagram. He described it as “a company that will nurture different artistic voices from all over and take pride in the diversity of stories, collaborating with directors , writers , artists who are not only talented but also have a unique new vision.”
Bollywood stars, including Parineeti Chopra, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan, had congratulated Malhotra on starting his own production company.
