Actress Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first child with husband Ranveer Singh in September, has shared a new selfie flaunting her long hair, eliciting a reaction from the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star in the comment section.
“#MissedMyLongHair 💇🏽♀️😁,” the 38-year-old actress, who recently appeared at BAFTA 2024 as a presenter, captioned the post on Instagram.
Reacting to the picture, her husband Ranveer wrote, “Cute 💇🏻♀️💕.”
In the picture, a blue shirt-clad Deepika can be seen sitting at a salon while a stylist fixes her brown hair.
Fans immediately flooded the comment section. “Deepika Padukone posting a selfie is always a win 🤌🏼,” one of them wrote. “Pregnancy has really made you more beautiful,” another fan wrote.
Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy through an Instagram post on February 29. They shared an image of baby clothing and balloons with ‘September 2024’ written across it.
Reports of Deepika’s pregnancy surfaced online soon after her fellow Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma gave birth to a baby boy. The rumours gained momentum when the actress reportedly hid her midriff at BAFTA Awards, where she looked gorgeous in a Sabyasachi couture sari and custom jewellery.
Deepika and Ranveer started dating each other on the sets of the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. They tied the knot on November 14, 2018 at Lake Como in Italy.
After sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in 2023’s Pathaan and Jawan, Deepika was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. She is set to appear alongside Ranveer in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, slated to release on August 15. In last year’s Oscars ceremony, the actress presented RRR’s Naatu Naatu song, which went on to bag the best song award at the 95th Academy Awards.
