While Neena Gupta snaps a wisecrack to her granddaughter and the latter’s prospective husband about testing compatibility on bed, real-life couple Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia provide glimpses of a guilt-ridden steamy affair in the trailer for the second instalment of the Emmy-nominated Lust Stories.
Dropped by Netflix on Wednesday, the one-and-a-half-minute-long trailer begins with a smashing one-liner from Neena Gupta’s character — “This body is a volcano like Mount Fuji, only satisfied when it erupts” — leaving her family members visibly scandalised. The scene immediately shifts to Vijay Varma peeping through a keyhole and swearing out loud. Tilottama Shome appears on the screen next, catching her husband in the act with their maid. In the next scene, Kumud Mishra confronts his wife Kajol about firing their maid. “I didn’t fire her. She went away,” Kajol retorts, matching up to her husband’s query.
Neena Gupta is back again on screen, repeating her “test drive” dialogue that featured in the teaser before. And the audiences are treated to a tantalising affair between Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia next. The catchy number Yeh Dil Rumani Hai plays in the background as a montage of the various characters shaking the sheets fill the screen.

Comprising four stories helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, Konkona Sensharma, R Balki, and Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the second part of Netflix’s hit anthology film promises a deeper look into different aspects of the often taboo topic of sex through visuals and insinuations. Notably, each story will be led by a female protagonist.
Lust Stories 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on June 29. The impressive cast of the film also includes Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash and Angad Bedi.
