Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro’s Killers of the Flower Moon to stream on Apple TV+ from next week

Martin Scorsese’s epic western crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon, led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, will make its global OTT debut on Apple TV+ on January 12.

Co-written by Eric Roth and Scorsese himself, Killers of the Flower Moon is based on David Grann’s bestselling novel of the same name. Set in the 1920s in Oklahoma, the film unveils the chilling story of the cold-blooded murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation in Ohio of the US, an infamous crime spree known as the Reign of Terror.

Apart from DiCaprio and De Niro, the cast of the film includes Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.

Killers of the Flower Moon has been receiving plaudits from audiences and critics since its premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in 2023. The National Board of Review has named Scorsese’s latest directorial the Best Film of the Year; it also received an impressive 12 Critics Choice Award nominations and seven Golden Globe Award nominations.

Other than securing a spot on the American Film Institute’s prestigious list of Motion Pictures of the Year, Killers of the Flower Moon has also found a place on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ shortlists in multiple categories for 96th Oscars, including Best Makeup and Hair, Best Sound, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song.

Adding to its laurels, Killers of the Flower Moon was presented with the Vanguard Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards gala on January 4.
