Debutante Lakshya’s commando hacks blade-wielding goons aboard Rajdhani Express to save his lover, played by Tanya Maniktala, and other passengers in the first teaser of the Karan Johar-backed action-thriller Kill, packed with gory action sequences.

Violence, gore and non-stop headbashing dominate the one-minute-40-second-long teaser, which also features Raghav Juyal as the antagonist. Dropped on Thursday, it opens on a happy and breezy note featuring a couple — Lakshya and Tanya. The scene cuts to the two of them aboard a train at night and texting each other while sitting on different seats. But this happiness is short-lived as their train ride is soon marred with horror and panic.

In the teaser, we can see some goons going on a rampage inside the train and attacking people. Lakshya, who is making his acting debut with Kill, rises to the occasion and unleashes terror on them single-handedly. Taking on one goon after the other, Lakshya turns the train ride into a deadly bloodbath.

As the night turns deadlier with each second, the gangster clan’s psychotic black sheep Fani, played by Raghav Juyal, shows up.

Kill premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival. “Inspired by real-life train robberies in India by a class of criminals known as ‘dacoits,’ Kill laces its high-concept premise with familial melodrama that cuts across both sides of the battlelines,” TIFF wrote, adding that Kill’s “gory and claustrophobic confines” remind one of Midnight Madness classics like Gareth Evans’ The Raid and Kim Hongsun's Project Wolf Hunting.

Written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain. Kill is slated to release in theatres on July 5.
