The makers of Suriya and Bobby Deol’s upcoming sci-fi action thriller Kanguva dropped a new poster on Sunday to mark Tamil New Year, hinting that the film will also have modern-day elements along with stories from an ancient world.
“Where the past and present collide, a new future begins,” Bobby, who is set to make his acting debut in the Tamil film industry with the upcoming movie, wrote alongside the poster on Instagram.
The new poster features Suriya from two distinctive eras in the film. In the first character, Suriya appears as his fierce and ruthless warrior avatar with a sword in his hand. The second character shows him in a modern setting, sporting a suit and holding a gun. The poster suggests a face-off between the two characters.
Kanguva is a period fantasy drama that intertwines the past with the present. Apart from Suriya and Bobby, the film also features Disha Patani and Yogi Babu in important roles.
Directed by Siva, the film will be released in 10 languages. The makers are yet to announce the release date of Kanguva.
