Netflix has released the full trailer of the highly anticipated whodunit film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. This Daniel Craig-starrer is director Rian Johnson’s follow-up to his hit 2019 murder mystery Knives Out.

In this sequel, Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of suspects. The A-list cast this time includes Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline along with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will arrive on Netflix on December 23.

In the trailer, we see tech billionaire Miles Bron (Norton), who invites his close friends and Blanc to his private island in Greece for a weekend party. Bron arranges a treasure hunt and jokingly says that he’s getting killed tonight. However, things turn serious when an actual murder takes place. Now Blanc must solve a murder mystery involving a group of colourful characters.

The Glass Onion trailer looks more stylish and lavish than the one that had been released for Knives Out. The Mediterranean setting also adds glamour to the visuals and it’s no surprise that all the guests in Bron’s weekend party would be from the glamour world. However, the focus is, as always, on Blanc, who is determined to ferret out the darkest secrets of all the suspects to find the killer.

Besides writing and directing the film, Rian Johnson also produced it in partnership with Ram Bergman. Netflix made a deal with Johnson in March 2021 to make two sequels with Craig as Blanc, following an intense bidding battle with Apple and Amazon.
