Shahid Kapoor shines as an ambitious con artist on a journey to script a rags to riches story in the trailer of his maiden OTT series Farzi, dropped by Prime Video on Friday.
Directed by The Family Man makers Raj and DK, Farzi also marks the Hindi OTT debut of Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi, who plays a righteous cop, Michael, on the lookout for Shahid in this crime thriller.
The two-minute-42-second-long trailer introduces Shahid as Sunny, an artist whose only dream is to get rich by hook or by crook. He soon hatches a plan to print counterfeit currency and manages to succeed. But the police stumble upon the counterfeit currency, and in comes Sethupathi, a cop who lets his gun do the talking. What follows is a thrilling cat-and-mouse race with hard-hitting dialogues.
Kay Kay Menon plays a pivotal role in the series, which also features veteran actor Amol Palekar. Rashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandraa, Kubraa round out the cast. Farzi is slated for a February 10 release.
