Ed Sheeran sang his 2017 hit song Shape of You with students at a Mumbai school following an interactive session with them during his India visit as part of The Mathematics Tour, shows a video shared by the singer-songwriter on Tuesday.

“Visited a school in Mumbai this morning and swapped performances with the kids, so much fun. Great being back in India too,” the 33-year-old singer wrote on Instagram alongside the video.

“So, I just arrived in Mumbai, in India. We’re gonna be visiting some schools today and playing some songs. And I heard the kids have something to play for me as well,” Sheeran said before entering a classroom where children gathered around to perform various songs for the singer.

Sporting a casual white t-shirt and black half-pants, the Perfect singer went from one classroom to another, singing with the students, interacting with them and enjoying the music performances they had prepared. Sheeran was all smiles as he sat on the floor with the school kids and cheered the ones who sang for him.

“Oh man, I loved it. So, so much fun,” said Sheeran after his day out with the students at the end of the video.

Singer Armaan Malik, who collaborated with Sheeran on a 2022 version of his song 2Step, dropped a heart emoji in the comment section.

Sheeran is set to perform in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course on March 16 as part of his ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’, also known as The Mathematics Tour.

This will be Sheeran’s third concert in India after his x Tour in 2015 and his 2017 Divide Tour at Mumbai’s Jio Gardens.

Sheeran, who is a four-time Grammy winner, released two albums last year— ‘-ʼ (Subtract) and Autumn Variations — both of which have topped the global charts.

The ongoing ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’ is Sheeran’s fourth tour. Spanning across three continents with 89 shows, the tour started on April 23, 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, and is scheduled to end on September 8 in Larnaca, Cyprus
