Ranveer Singh’s Rocky is spellbound by Ayushmann Khurrana’s Pooja as the two indulge in a banter over a phone call in the latest promo of the latter’s upcoming film Dream Girl 2, slated to release in theatres on August 25.
Shared by producer Ektaa Kapoor on Instagram, the promo follows the tradition of featuring interactions with famous characters from upcoming films. Ranveer plays the male lead Rocky in Karan Johar’s upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
"Pooja is a celebration, arriving on the 25th of July with a thrilling surprise," Ektaa wrote alongside the promo video.
The previous promos of Dream Girl 2 included Pooja’s interactions with Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Salman Khan's character from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s character from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
In the latest video, Rocky calls Pooja “meri Rani'', alluding to Alia Bhatt’s character in Karan’s romantic drama. He also compliments her stunning red sari and compares her to the World Cup as she will be back after a gap of four years. In response, Pooja humourously refers to herself as a "trophy" and announces that her first look will be revealed on July 25.
The Raaj Shaandilyaa-helmed film also features an ensemble cast including Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Manjot Singh.
