Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi portray an estranged couple who unexpectedly come together while engaging in affairs with two attractive outsiders, played by Sendhil Ramamurthy and Ileana D'Cruz, in the trailer for Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s upcoming romcom Do Aur Do Pyaar.

Dropped by production house Applause Entertainment on Saturday, the two minute-19-second-long video begins with Vidya’s Kavya in a heated argument with her husband Ani (Pratik) . "I can't stand your eggplant and poppy seeds recipe," exclaims Kavya, while Ani retorts that her collection of stainless steel utensils has turned the kitchen into a hardware store.

Subsequent scenes depict their growing emotional distance as they seek affection outside their marriage. Kavya forms a bond with Vikram (Sendhil Ramamurthy), whereas Ani becomes romantically involved with Nora ( Ileana D'Cruz). Pressured by their new partners, Kavya and Ani struggle with confessing the truth. "I don't know how to break it to him. We've spent half our lives together," says Kavya.

The plot thickens when circumstances draw Both Kavya and Ani closer instead of pushing them apart. They are seen teasing and laughing with each other, all the while keeping secrets from Vikram and Nora. Both Kavya and Ani find themselves in a state of confusion regarding their feelings.

The trailer concludes with Kavya and Ani seated by a window, enjoying beer and Chinese food, engaging in lighthearted banter.

Produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Swati Iyer Chawla, Do Aur Do Pyaar is slated to hit the screens on April 19.

Vidya last appeared in Anu Menon's murder mystery Neeyat (2023), which marked her first film to receive a theatrical release since the 2019 blockbuster Mission Mangal.
