Actress Disha Patani wished her Kung Fu Yoga co-star Jackie Chan on the latter’s 70th birthday on April 7, calling him a ‘superhero’ and a ‘living legend’.
“70 years young. Happy b’day to my superhero and the living legend Taguu,” Disha captioned a throwback picture on her Instagram stories, extending her wishes to Chan.
The throwback photo shows Disha and Jackie Chan feeding horses on the set of Kung Fu Yoga. Disha sports a green puffer jacket in the picture, while Chan poses in a blue pullover.
Directed by Stanley Tong, Kung Fu Yoga is a 2017 Chinese action adventure comedy film. It serves as a sequel to Tong's 2005 fantasy-adventure film The Myth. In Kung Fu Yoga, Chan reprises his role as archaeologist Jack, while Disha plays Indian princess Ashmita. The film also stars Sonu Sood and Amyra Dastur in key roles.
Disha also posted a picture of Chan from his early days on her Instagram story. “Thank you for making our childhood so memorable,” the Yodha actress wrote alongside the picture.
An honorary Oscar-awardee, Chan is an actor, director, writer, producer, martial artist, and stuntman known for his acrobatic fighting style and innovative stunts, which he typically performs himself. He has been acting since the 1960s and has appeared in more than 150 films so far. Chan is currently working on a number of projects including Legend, New Police Story 2 and Project P.
Disha herself is an avid practitioner of kickboxing and often posts photos and videos from her practise sessions on social media.
The Baaghi 2 actress will be next seen in the Nag Ashwin-helmed dystopian fantasy adventure film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. Disha recently posted a string of behind-the-scenes pictures from the Italy schedule of the film. Kalki 2898 A.D is slated to hit the screens on May 9.
