Black was the chosen colour for many from the Bollywood fraternity who attended Day 1 of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Here’s a look at who wore what to the Friday event.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s monochrome outfits were clear winners. While the Fighter actress looked gorgeous in a custom Gauri and Nainika black silk faille midi dress, Ranveer was the perfect foil in a white suit and quirky shades.
This sibling pair took the black-and-white route too. While Sara Ali Khan rocked a black jumpsuit with a ruffled front, Ibrahim Ali Khan donned a white suit.
Sonam Kapoor was yet another fashionista to opt for black, going with Amir Al Kasm’s dramatic Mylaya dress comprising a sequined corset-fit torso and a flared bottom with a cape. An embellished choker and sleek bun kept the look fuss-free.
Sonam’s dad Anil Kapoor and mom Sunita Kapoor followed her colour code. While Anil Kapoor looked dapper in a black tuxedo, Sunita opted for a sequined black kaftan gown with fringes.
Alia Bhatt stunned in a sequined blue gown with a thigh-high slit. Her plunging neckline, shaped like the wings of a swan, featured sequined starfish patterns.
Kareena Kapoor Khan sizzled in a Tarun Tahiliani sequined lavender sari draped over an embellished blouse.
Genelia Deshmukh too turned heads in a black evening gown with a floor-sweeping train, designed by Maison Tai.
Chak De! India actress Sagarika Ghatge Khan looked sharp in a simple yet elegant white evening gown with elaborate balloon sleeves.
